To Request an Absentee Ballot:
To request an Absentee Ballot write to, or personally visit, the Board of Elections located at at One Government Center, Suite 300, Toledo, OH 43604 and request an Absentee Ballot giving the following information.
A voter need not complete a formal application to request an absentee ballot. A simple request on paper with the following information is sufficient; however, the application form cannot be faxed:
Applications and additional information for armed services absentee voting, deadlines, etc. are available from the Lucas County BOE website.
Persons hospitalized on election day are permitted to vote by medical emergency absentee ballot and to have the ballot delivered and returned by a family member or by two board employees of different political parties. Applications must be received by 3:00 p.m. on Election Day, and ballots returned to the board by 7:30 p.m.
